This piece, a clay sculpture of a baby, was made for the year 2 fundraiser for our London exhibition. As I was exploring ways to make silicone sheets in the past, I decided to test different mediums that could be stretched over objects (sculptures) whilst also maintaining transparency and so I used rice paper for this piece. Although it was very easy to work with at first, it dries solid which was something I did not want for my sculptures, I want them to be soft and inviting to the viewer to the point where they would want to interact with it. I was satisfied with the way this piece looked but I still want to try different mediums that could feel a bit more bodily.
