Silicone experiment

This is an experimental video made to explore different ways of creating silicone sheets. The material used here is actually bathroom silicone because I was exploring more affordable alternatives to creating organic/ fleshy textures. I was unsatisfied with the outcome because I was aiming for a much smoother, more flexible texture instead of this splotchy mess. I tried to salvage my failed experiment by making a video depicting the suturing of a wound. The shapes of the silicone were traced from my burn scars to give it more connection to bodies/ flesh, and the red thread was chosen as a symbolism of blood. Alternatively, I also decided to use my own hair as thread to emphasise its bodily connotations as well as make it more personal.
